Nelson is a 15.2hh, bay, Thoroughbred ex racehorse who loves nothing more than food, cuddles and food.
Over the years Nelson has enjoyed competing in showing/ in hand showing and show jumping, as well as going hunting on numerous occasions and had great fun on a local cross country course (very fast!!).
He has just about decided that he doesn’t have to go everywhere at break neck speed but still enjoys a good gallop up the stubble fields behind his stable! He’s also doing a grand job of teaching Declan to ride.
He and Paddy have become good mates and are never far away from each other.
Hannah let Nelson go at the age of 32 after he wasn’t putting on summer condition and it was felt that he wouldn’t get through another winter. Hopefully he joined his pal Paddy in the green pastures above.
